We all grieved when the University of St. Thomas Coaching Program closed permanently in 2020. That was the end of a chapter - not the end of the story. Beginning in the summer of 2020, a small tenacious group of former faculty and alumni began writing our community's next chapter. Below is a picture of our team during one of MANY Zoom calls!

Through these conversations, the Center for Coaching in Organizations (CCO) was born, along with our big, bold dreams for the future. The more steps we take, the more strongly we believe this organization holds real potential to impact many lives, many organizations, and even the systems and structures in our world.

CCO's mission is to unleash human potential through coaching in organizations. We believe in empowering people to grow, thrive, heal, and find their way to flourishing. Our work transforms the lives of the students, coaches, and leaders with whom we interact. We unleash human potential by:
  • Inspiring people to find their voice and operate from a place of trust, truth, and love.
  • Supporting leaders to shift their mindsets to solve big, complex, messy problems with grace and clarity.
  • Growing leaders who bring the power of coaching to their organizations and the communities they serve.
  • Expanding access to coaching in organizations for all.
We aspire to channel coaching in creative ways for the good of our community and our world, making coach training and coaching more accessible to under-resourced organizations, and increasing coach representation so coaches better mirror the population at large.

CCO is all about building leaders who think differently and believe differently. We need leaders who will steward society’s trust, work to repair it when it’s broken, and nurture it every chance they get. Leadership like this can be cultivated over time with the help of powerful coaches. Our next 10 years as an organization is centered around supporting, training and expanding the reach of those coaches.

Our 10-year plan includes:
1. launching an accredited executive coach training program
2. providing advanced coach training & development
3. hosting annual summits
4. offering thought leadership for executive coaches and organizational leaders, and
5. creating a foundation to support our mission of expanding access and representation in coaching in organizations and coach training.

We’ll launch with the virtual Coaching in Organizations Summit in Spring 2021, at which time we'll announce the start of our executive coach training program and other upcoming offerings.

We have incorporated and are being fiscally sponsored by Propel for Non-profits while applying for 501c3 status. We are also securing accreditation from ICF for our coach-training program, planning the 2021 Summit, planning our budget, building out our brand and website, and preparing to introduce the Center for Coaching in Organizations to the world

Countless volunteer hours have gone into getting us to this point, and we plan to continue operating on a volunteer basis for the time being. However, we have quickly learned that founding this organization will require significant funding up front, before we are bringing in revenue through our services. And so…we’d love your help!

Your donation will enable CCO to launch programming that will unleash human potential in organizations. We are especially committed to directing your dollars towards expanding reach and access to coaching in under-resourced organizations and increasing coach representation across many dimensions of diversity.

Please make a tax-deductible donation in the box on the right-hand side of this page. We are so very grateful for your financial support as we seek to build on the legacy of this amazing community of coaches.

The CCO Team
